My name is Michele and I have been taking care of children since I was 11 years old. Actually, I changed my first diaper at age 7!
I started Vacation Sitters, LLC. out of my love for children and a desire to help other Mom's/Parents ease their child-care needs. It is also my hope to assist other women in earning additional income as well as continue to feed my passion of giving back - specifically through women and children.
As a Divorced Single Mother for many years, I worked both inside and outside of the home, always juggling child-care. Even my vacations often felt like work as well - with no real down time for ME only.
Now, as a Preschool Teacher/Nanny with a background in Corporate Marketing & Event Planning/Fundraising - in Los Angeles, California and Fort Myers, Florida - I am excited about Vacation Sitters and the opportunity to offer - fun, nurturing child care services that can help to provide that balance that every parent needs.

All of our SITTER's have the following credentials:
* Full Nationwide Criminal/Sex Offender Background Check
* CPR/First Aid Certification
Once a SITTER is booked for your needs - I will text you her picture so you know whom to expect.
Vacationing Families -Services & Rates ...
Booking Fee per assignment $45
**All Bookings have a four hour minimum.
(An additional $20 will be added to the Booking Fee for assignments in Sanibel/Captiva)
Booking fees are nonrefundable and are payable to your credit card at the time of booking.
The four hour minimum is also payable on your credit card at the time of booking.
One Child $20/hour-
Each additional child $5/hour per child.
Example: Two children= $25/hour
Any additional hours worked by the Sitter past the 4 hour minimum will be charged to your credit card at the end of the shift. Sitter will confirm with me the total hours worked upon leaving the assignment.
* Cancellations - 24 hours notice is required to cancel once a SITTER has been assigned.
If required notice is not given, client will be charged a $20 cancellation fee ($30 on holidays).
Notice of cancellations made within 3 hours or less of the scheduled assignment time, will be charged the for the full four hours, including the full amount of the booking fee.
If client is merely rescheduling for a different day in the same week, the full amount of the booking fee and the four hour minimum will be applied to the new assignment.
Holiday Hourly Rates ...
Booking Fee for Holidays - $50.
All bookings are a four hour minimum.
Booking fees are nonrefundable and are payable to your credit card at the time of booking.
The four hour minimum is also payable on your credit card at the time of booking.
Any additional hours worked by the Sitter past the 4 hour minimum will be charged to your credit card at the end of the shift. Sitter will confirm with me the total hours worked upon leaving the assignment.
Holiday rates are calculated at 1.5x the normal rate - encouraging SITTER availability on days when they would most likely have alternate plans. This rate increase would apply for the following:
New Year's Eve (after 5pm), New Year's Day, Valentine's Day (after 5pm) Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Cancellations - 24 hours notice is required to cancel once a SITTER has been assigned. If required notice is not given, client will be charged a $30 cancellation fee.
Notice of cancellations made within 3 hours or less of the scheduled assignment time, client will be charged the full four hours at the holiday rate, including the full amount of the booking fee.
Children With Special Needs ...
We do not charge extra for children with Special Needs, Toddler aged Twins/Triplets or Infants.
**All rates posted apply to all children equally.
Local Families
Services & Home Care Rates ...
Booking Fee per assignment $25

An additional $0.55/per mile will be charged if SITTER should be required to transport child to/from activities.
Any additional hours worked by the Sitter past the 4 hour minimum will be charged to your credit card at the end of the shift. Sitter will confirm with me the total hours worked upon leaving the assignment.
**If you feel you will need a SITTER more frequently within a months time, in lieu of paying a separate Booking Fee each time, you can SAVE by paying a monthly subscription fee of $35 in addition to the hourly rate.
(the Subscription Fee can be cancelled at any time with no further obligation.)

Overnight Rates …
Booking Fee for overnight - $45.
One child $20/hour.
Each additional child $5/hour per child.
Booking fees are nonrefundable and are payable to your credit card at the time of booking.
A flat rate of $50 will be added for the hours while child/children are sleeping.
The $50 flat rate will also be payable to your credit card at the time of booking.
The four hour minimum is also payable on your credit card at the time of booking.
One/Two children $300
Three/Four children $350
An additional $0.55/per mile will be charged if SITTER should be required to transport child to/from activities.
* Cancellations - 72 hours notice is required to cancel once a SITTER has been assigned.
If required notice is not given, for either Overnight Care or a full 24 Hours of Care, client will be charged a $20 cancellation fee.
Notice of cancellations made within 3 hours or less of the scheduled assignment time will be charged for 50% of the 24 Hour Care Rate, with the booking fee being nonrefundable.
If client is merely rescheduling for a different day in the same week with the same SITTER, the full amount of the booking fee and the 50% of the 24 Hour Care Rate will be applied to the new assignment.
Nanny Placement …
Agency Placement Fees:
Live in /Night Nanny: $2000.00
(Full time or part time hours, 3 month guarantee)
Full Time Live Out: $1000.00
(25+ hours per week, 3 month guarantee)
Part Time Live Out: $800.00
(20-24 hours per week, 3 month guarantee)
Mini Nanny: $750.00
(Maximum of 3 months service. Full time, Part time or After-school Nanny.
**If, you would like to extend your Mini Nanny service past the 3 month maximum, an additional $750 for part time and $1000.00 for full time placement will be due at the beginning of the second 3 month period.
All Nanny Placements include:
Nationwide criminal background check
Nationwide Sex Offender check
DMV Report
Sourcing
Interviewing
Pre-qualifying
Reference checking
Interview scheduling
Salary/benefits negotiations assistance
3 month Guarantee of employment for Nanny.
Sample Rates: Hourly rates for your Nanny will vary:
1 - 2 children: $16 - $25 per hour
3 - 4 children: $20 - $30 per hour
**Hourly rates are a private negotiation between Nanny and family.

A nonrefundable retainer of $350 is required to begin your Nanny search. This retainer is applied toward the Nanny Placement fee.
